Negotiation and influencing skills
The success of your team relies on effectively negotiating and influencing outcomes that will drive performance and impact
We design and deliver short and effective negotiation, stakeholder engagement and influence training courses for public and private sector organisations. Clients have included the ACCC, AER, Bunnings and the CPA.
Initially we held this work within the umbrella of our offshoot organisation ‘Negotiation Education Australia’ but have recently brought it back to sit with Possibilities.
Why a ‘negotiation mindset’?
The impact on performance
Regardless of the positions your people hold; their success and that of their team almost always depends upon how well they can negotiate with and influence the people around them.
The relationship to decision making
When rapid change is the norm, effective decision making is vital. Even without being "under pressure", many specialists and managers in organisations never pause to reflect on their framework for making decisions.
A return on your investment
In our experience, using a ‘negotiation framework’ to develop the capacity of individuals or teams delivers a premium return for organisations than many other cognitive development frameworks.
Stakeholder engagement course
Develop a practical toolkit of stakeholder engagement strategies, skills and tools that expand your options when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Our stakeholder engagement course immerses participants in multiple, real world engagement scenarios which are then debriefed with best practice frameworks. The emphasis is on making the most of each interaction with your stakeholders.
Negotiation skills course
Discover the strategies, skills and tools needed for ferreting out value and claiming it for your team and organisation. This negotiation course is designed around a series of exercises that build in intensity and scope, each one relevant to the task of making deals with external parties.
During this negotiations skills course, participants will also discover their negotiation 'hot buttons' and explore strategies on how to manage them.
